LICENSED INDEPENDENT SOCIAL WORKER
Michele Buck, MSW, LISW-S earned her Master of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University in 2016 with a specialization in Health and Aging and a certificate in Implicit Bias and Promoting Diversity. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory Designation in the state of Ohio and provides counseling services at The Center for Resilience & Wellness. Michele also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Capital University, where she teaches undergraduate and graduate social work courses focused on evidence-based practice and family systems.
Michele has extensive experience providing counseling, crisis intervention, psychosocial assessment, and care coordination within both medical and behavioral health settings. Her clinical work has included supporting individuals and families navigating grief and loss, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, trauma, life transitions, and end-of-life concerns. She has worked across multidisciplinary healthcare environments and has experience supervising and mentoring clinicians pursuing independent licensure.
In addition to her clinical work, Michele brings a strong connection to the military and first responder community through her service with the Ohio Army National Guard Family Readiness Group, where she supported soldiers’ families during deployment and co-facilitated family readiness meetings. Her experience working alongside military families strengthened her commitment to resilience, family systems, crisis support, and community-based care. Michele has also presented at national conferences, contributed to quality improvement initiatives focused on behavioral health integration, and remains active in professional advocacy through the National Association of Social Workers.
